Euroluce is organized biannually. This exciting six day event gives a good clue on what the trends will be in the years to come. This is our video of Italian label CINI & NILS @ Euroluce 2013 in Milan.
We loved FORMALA, a ribbon of light with flexible LED lamps that generates an infinite array of shapes: straight or curved lines, symmetric and asymmetric. Futhermore we liked ASSOLA, SESTESSA SOSPESA, the kitsch COLLIER, the graphically strong CUBISMO and the latest member of the TENSO FAMILY: TENSO LED.

Foscarini @ Euroluce 2013

This is the brinklicht.nl brand video of Foscarini at Salone di Mobile / Euroluce 2013 in Milan. Foscarini and Diesel by Foscarini is always attracting a lot of attention. Every year they bring fresh new designs that do commercially very well.

The first is Yoko, a table lamp by Norwegian duo Anderssen&Voll: an ethereal soap bubble in tension set on a bulb. Poetry and lightness are also the guiding values of the RITUALS collection, by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba.Simon Pengelly has designed a second wall lamp for Foscarini called FLIP, a light that combines aesthetics and practicality, with the possibility of orienting the light.

Another lamp that controls and adapts the light as you need it is LIGHTWING, the new floor lamp by Jean Marie Massaud. NUAGE is a wall lamp by young designer Philippe Nigro, which recalls Optical Art. Another lamp with a decidedly sculptural presence is TUAREG, with the unmistakable style of Ferruccio Laviani, while Luca Nichetto steals the name and outline of an animated cartoon with STEWIE, a friendly, non-conventional floor lamp.
Lucidi&Pevere have designed a wall lamp whose shape recalls a lake, hence the name LAKE, because of the organic form of the diffuser with dense colours. Another lamp that is particularly effective when used in composition is the multi-directional suspension lamp TUBES, designed by the Swiss studio Hannes Wettstein.

De twee broers die cafe restaurant SoHo (South of Houston) zijn gestart in hartje Den Haag wilden de beleving van New York neerzetten. En dat is helemaal gelukt met behulp van Pubblik en het lichtplan van Brink Licht Studio. De zaak is verbouwd met goede materialen en veel originele details.

Moooi @ Milan Design Week 2013

In an imposing space of 1.700 m2, Moooi created a stylish assembly of colourful living quarters, new product displays, lounges and an artistic exhibition. Moooi was this years buzz of the town. New works by Neri & Hu, Marcel Wanders and Edward van Vliet were married with the blown-up photography of Erwin Olaf to stunning effect: showing us exactly why design is so hip right now.

Among the new lamps that were introduced were:

BELL LAMP, BUCKET LAMP, HERACLEUM II SMALL, JUUYO, KROON 7, CONSTRUCTION LAMP, TUB LAMP, HERACLEUM THE BIG O and RAIMOND DOME 79.

This is the brinklicht.nl brand video of Luceplan at Salone di Mobile / Euroluce 2013 in Milan. Luceplan presented SILENZIO, a lighting system that combines decor solutions with high sound absorption for public and private spaces.

Watch Daniel Rybakken explain us about ASCENT: A new gesture to turn on and regulate light. Ascent offers many levels of light intensity, with a very precise dimmer located on the head. The small shade runs vertically up and down to adjust the brightness of the light. ILLUSION and NOTHING are fresh designs by Francisco Gomez Paz. NOTHING has a very thin, flat, laser-cut surface, designed using a complex mathematical process.

Morosini is launching a new product family: PANK by designer Tiziano Maffione. There are two versions of PANK: one is ‘diffusing’ : it produces a soft light). The other ones is a ‘covering’ version (it produces indirect light). The covering version has a double textile internal and external in 2 variations: the first one is black outside with 5 colors inside; the second one is white outside with a choice of 4 colors inside. Of course, for projects it is possible to make changes to the dimensions and colors of the shades.

The shades of are made of class 1 fireproof textile, applied on self-extinguishing PVC. The textile is cotton “chinette”, treated with an acid that gives a particular brilliance to the textile.

PANK ceiling lights are available in 60/90/120 cm ø. Only in the diffusing version, the “cap” is upholstered in fabric that provides an excellent light diffusion, better than the commonly used methacrylate screens. There are no visible metal parts. The inclination of the lamp allows attractive special lighting effects.

This brand is strong newcomer, We loved SPI, ANTENNA and BODYLESS by Arik Levy and the strong lines of FLUID standing and suspended LED lamps. Other nice new lamps are LAMPADAIRE DOM. MESH PM, OPIUM and BIRDY T.

Vibia @ Euroluce 2013

This is the brinklicht.nl brand video of Vibia at Salone di Mobile / Euroluce 2013 in Milan. Again, this years stand was among the best at the fair. Very playfull designs were presented as well as very cleverly designed new lamps. We loved NUNO’s delicate layers of linen which produce a warm light effect. SET is a game of lights, shadows, luminous and volumetric effects. Arik Levy’s pendant lighting fixture WIREFLOW is spectacular, it’s an authentic sculpture of light in space.

With his great enthusiasm he knows and shows that lighting is fun. The new items that were presented are GIULIA, GIULIETTA, LEDERAM, MALAGOLINA, MISS STICK Unplugged and the handpainted table version of SORRY GIOTTO.
